Final Piece: Making and Planting the Top

I started my final piece construction by making the top, as I need time for the plants to grow to full size. I used the toile I had made to alter the first pattern I had made, as I had widened the neck hole and cropped the toile after I had cut it out. Construction was very easy as I had already made it before, and I made sure to mark everything with a water-soluble pen on the inside to give the top a neat and tidy finish. I used twine to sew up the side seams to stay with the grow your own plant theme of the top. To make an outline for the seed, I used strips of paper to make rectangles and squares, then filled them in with enough seeds to provide full coverage once grown. I used broccoli, red kale, radish and pea seeds for each patch.
