Digital Print Generation

I put all of my drawings and photos I wanted to use onto an A4 page and then coloured in the cell drawing and small cell elements I had copied from it. I decided to not include the picture of the leaf cell structure from a lily as it didn’t fit in with the other elements. I then organised them into a pleasing layout, embedded them, selected all the pictures and finally went to object-pattern-make to experiment with different pattern layouts and variations. I then decided something was missing from the pattern, so I added swoops of green to make the print feel full. After experimenting with different options, and adding backgrounds I then chose the print I liked best, which was the last one I did and sent it off to be made into fabric. I am pleased with my pattern I think it’s fun and playful, and the cell diagram drawing makes the print quite childlike.
